It has been a fun week with Valentine's Day right in the middle of it. Plus the kids had a 4 day weekend off from school so lots of time for play! Cate dressed in her usual bright pink for Valentines' Day at school and Josh went with the traditional red. They really enjoyed their school parties.
We used lots of glitter and glue to make some beautiful valentines for Grandma Joan, Grandma Carol, and Grandpa Bob. We had a fun time visiting and passing out the valentines. Everyone seemed to enjoy them.
We also decorated heart shaped cakes and shared these with everyone. Josh & Cate don't seem to like cake. I guess it's the texture maybe. Now they like it with lots of frosting. Well really they just like the frosting and if a little bit of cake gets in there they can handle it but overall cake is not their favorite thing. Now ice cream, that is another story.
We shared some Valentines' gifts. We have great family and friends that blessed Josh & Cate with McDonald's gift cards in their Valentines' Day cards. Thank you Aunt Dawn & Uncle Tim Troup along with Miss Kim and Mr. John Porter. You all are a blessing to us. The kids really enjoyed going into McDs and using their own card to get whatever they wanted. Your thoughtfulness was a big hit!
We played our usual Saturday basketball games.
We always have the usual homework to get done and these guys are pretty good at getting it done.
Some very special friends invited us over for dinner and Yahtzee. Thank you Mike & Mary Noonan for an evening of fun. We appreciate you!
Sweet Nolan was fun this week. I took him on an outing to visit Miss Kim at her Little League office.
Josh & Cate always enjoy the carwash and we certainly needed a wash.
That's our fun week in review. Thanks for reading the blog and praying for us. You are important to us and we love your encouragement as we continue Jesus style....
Choosing joy,
Chris & crew
