Mommy Christine's Birthday

The big excitement this week was I had a birthday so Josh & Cate were all abuzz about that every second it seemed.  Trying to get them to keep any secrets was a challenge.  It is fun to see birthdays through their eyes.  I enjoyed my day and in case you're wondering I am now truly in my mid fifties!

We have finally gotten back up to the lake cottage and did some work there.  We are hoping to get to enjoy it soon.  Our IN weather is not the best this summer and rain seems to be in the forecast for everyday.

We met our friends, The Phillips, at the movies one day.

And we met more friends, The Shoppells, at the Y pool one day.  We are blessed with good friends.

And we finsihed the week with a joint birthday dinner with my brother, Uncle Kirk and his family.  Kirk's birthday is 5 days in front of mine so June was our favorite month when I was a kid!  Kirk's boys and wife Jenni also joined us along with Grandma & Grandpa.

You can tell by the smile on the faces that family is everything in our family.  As a friend once stated...2 most important things in this world are God & Family.

More fun in June

This past week was mainly just normal stuff like baseball and reading camp.  Both Josh & Cate are playing Wildcat baseball and that has been really fun for them.

We have also enjoyed our new YMCA pool.

The highlight of the week was seeing Grandma Joan plus Aunt Dawn & Uncle Tim Troup from Michigan for lunch.

Thanks for reading the blog.  We appreciate your prayers and we will continue

Father's Day and Lots of Summertime Fun!

Our YMCA pool has a new twisty slide that just opened.  The kids were the first to try it out.

Josh's Little League baseball team is in a tournament and they've won their first 2 games.  They are excited and playing great.  They had closing ceremonies for the regular season and 12 year olds received a placque.  Josh thought that was pretty cool!  Josh is #8 in case you can't tell.

We visited Grandma Joan and made a stop at Culver's for some ice cream.

Cate had VBS all week and she sure loved that!  The Chapel does a great job of sharing the gospel with their young people.

Josh & Cate love to play "jacks".  This was a favorite game in the Philippines.

Father's Day morning was all about Dad and his gifts!

Thank you Jesus for our DAD!

Father's Day was spent on Luke's boat on the Mississinewa Reservoir.  We had a blast and the kids were great.  Luke's wife Susi was on a school trip overseas so she couldn't join us but Luke, Nick, Autumn and Nolan all joined in the fun with us.

We all had a terrific day!

Daddy Jeffrey and 4 of his 5 kids.  Courtney...where are you?

We are loving summer and are keeping faithful while
