Snow and the Holidays are Here!

The first semester is whizzing by and we are only 2 weeks away from Christmas Break!  Josh and Cate have had the best start to school ever and things are going great.  and our puppy Addison Ann Clark is growing!  Zoe is still not happy!

Zoe (13 yrs) and new puppy Addison (4 mo) are still not friends!  Zoe wants to remain queen!

Happy kiddos for the most part!  We love it when joy abounds at our house.

Flu shots had to happen but these guys are tough.  No complaining here!

Josh and Cate had some birthday money to spend so we advanced them up a notch in the world of technology.  They have begged and begged for phones.  After questioning them as to why they wanted a phone (neither of them like to talk on the phone since their language barrier makes it tough to be understood and for them to understand others) we discovered they really just wanted to play games and have something to carry like other kids.  So off to Best Buy we went.  They each purchased their own kindle tablet.  They were happy campers!  Now they can read and play games and don't have to ask to borrow Mom or Dad's ipad.

Wyatt Lee Clark turned 1 year old so we had to have a party.  Off to New Lenox, IL we went for some birthday fun.  Aunt Cate and Uncle Josh love their nephews.  Us grandparents cherish this time also.

November means Daddy Jeff has a birthday too.  His party is not quite as festive as Wyatt's but still it was a good excuse to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant with friends and family.

We had the first snowfall of the season.  Nolan and Wyatt were visiting us for the weekend so it was double the fun.  It was also puppy Addison's first snow experience!

Everyone enjoyed  having Nolan and Wyatt overnight.  Josh and Cate really enjoy one on one time with these littles!

I had a little project so I put Josh and Cate on it.  Josh was all over it but Cate wasn't so sure at first.  She decided it wasn't for her but once Josh got started, Cate could not resist joining in.

Thanksgiving this year meant a trip to Indianapolis.  Luke and Susi invited us to their home.  It was the year for our bigger kids to be at the other side's family so no one was scheduled to come to our house.  We loved heading to Luke's for the big day and it helps that Susi is a great cook!  Plus this meant Konrad time and we are all about a day with our little guys!

After Thanksgiving we headed to our friends, John and Kim Porter's for the night.  It has been awhile since we've been to their home and we all enjoyed our time together.  Bowling was on the agenda for the day.

Josh loves to be in the kitchen.  Whether he's cooking or eating he is happy either way.  This boy could be a chef one day!  Good thing he likes to run and work out because cookies are a favorite.

Time to decorate for Christmas.  Cate is a worker bee!  She carried all the boxes up from the basement.  They still have trouble understanding how a tree comes in a box!

The Walker (Chris's family) side had a delayed Thanksgiving dinner.  Nice to see you Matt and Jacob!  Once again anytime we can get together with family is good.  We love it!

As you can see it has been a good start to the holidays.  We are ramping up for Christmas and the celebration of Jesus' birth!  We love Christmas at our house!  We love family and presents and movies and lights!  But most of all we love Jesus!  I pray you know Him this Christmas season!

Knowing Jesus as your Savior is worth more than anything.  Philippians 3.

Thanks for reading the blog and praying for us.  We covet your prayers and your friendship.
Choosing joy,
Chris & crew
