Halloween 2014

Halloween was cold and rainy and we even got some snow flurries mixed in! Brrrrr.... not exactly great weather for walking around outside for 2 hours.  Cate had the perfect solution.  She said "I do not want to go because I will be cold.  Josh can just give me half of his candy!"  She saw no problem with this plan.  Amazingly enough, Josh agreed but us parents said no!  You want the treat you do the time!  We did however skip to plan B and Jeff created the Clark Bobsled Team.  Wearing snowsuits with hats and gloves just seemed like the perfect solution in the 30 degree weather. First of course we had to carve those pumpkins!

Josh went as a Cubs baseball player.  Everyone loves the Cubs!

Daddy led the bobsled team with a hot pink sled!

The first responders came through the neighborhool and joined in the fun!

Mom and Zoe sat in the back back hatch area of the car and handed out candy.
That was plenty cold enough for this sun loving girl!

Counting the stash!

The school we attend gives all the kids laptops for the school year so we have a lot of e-learning to do around this house.  Sometimes it goes well and sometimes it doesn't.  One thing is for sure these kiddos are growing up in a technology era.

We've had some rainy days and the kids have had running club in the rain.  Sure is nice to have new rain gear from Uncle Kirk and Aunt Jenni.

Jeff has been out of town alot on travel so we wanted to do something special after church on Sunday.  The kids are always asking to go to Chuck E. Cheese.  This is not Mom and Dad's favorite place so we've held off so far but decided to brave it with a good attitude.  The time actually went very well and we all enjoyed ourself.  Just shows what we already know that a good attitude makes all the difference.

Operation Christmas Child is an outreach near and dear to our hearts.  We each always fill a shoebox with goodies and the love of Jesus.

What a great way to teach the joy of giving!

God is looking for those who share His heart and He'll strengthen them!  2 Corinthians 16:9

Will you pray for our sweet daughter in love, Autumn, who is due anyday with our 3rd grandson?

Here are our other 2 adorable grandsons!  Nolan Denham (3 years) who is getting the new baby brother.

And Konrad Walker, now 4 1/2 months.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me."  Matthew 19:14

We are counting on God!  How about you! Thanks for reading the blog and praying for us.

Choosing joy,
Chris
