Family, Family, and More Family

We had a Walker family dinner to celebrate a couple of birthdays.  My nephew, Matt Walker, and my uncle, Jerry J. Moore both had birthdays this past weekend.  The usual meeting spot is Yen Ching's Chinese Restaurant.  Josh & Cate love this place.  Here are some photos from our evening out.

Jeff and Josh were also at the dinner above but they had to leave for a football game before we got the cameras out.  Sorry they missed the pictures!

Josh had a little job this weekend.  A neighbor asked him to take care of their dog while they were gone.  Josh was very serious about this job.  He did a great job.  Winston (the dog) was always eager to see Josh come in the door.

On Saturday we had another fun family get together.  My niece, Jessica Stewart, came to town with her family to see Grandma Joan Clark. We were thrilled when they called and invited us to stop in and chat.  The Stewart family is from North Carolina so we don't get to see them very often..  We were so thankful they made the journey.  Grandma Joan always loves grandkids and great grandkids!

Of course we had to get a trip for ice cream in our visit.  As I said before if Grandma Joan is around there is usually ice cream close by!  Culvers here we come!

Sunday was a rainy day and since we attended church on Saturday night we pretty much just sat around all day Sunday.  Here's what that looked like!  The kids did get dressed when we said we were going out for lunch.  Otherwise they barely moved from the couches all day.  They do have a hectic schedule during the week so it was a gift to have a relaxing day at home.

Thanks for reading the blog and praying for us.  We are working hard to stay faithful to  Jesus and your support helps us reach that goal.  The Upwards scripture for this week is "Brothers and sisters, don't ever get tired of doing the right thing." 2 Thessalonians 3:13.  What a great verse to live by!

Choosing joy,
Chris & crew
