Fall

We are into October and still playing football.  The Pal Bears (Josh's team) are in a tournament bracket and still winning.

This is Josh in practice jersey #89.  His game jersey is #21.

Our faithful fans, Grandma Carol, Great Uncle Jerry, and Daddy Jeff!
Hmmm..... is Grandma Carol really watching the game?

Cate had her last Upwards soccer game this past weekend.
She made some good friends on this team.

Faithful fans move from one field to the next!
Thank you for following us and cheering us on!

Cate's school had a Fall Festival and the kids were to dress up as farmers.
Here is our farmer Cate!

They collected some fun items at the Fall Festival and shared their prizes with Dad at breakfast.

On Sunday we took a drive to Hilger's market for our pumpkins.
They had a corn maze, animals, pumpkins, hayrides, and a big barn
you could swing in and just feel like you were "down on the farm."

Sticking to our true "cheap" nature we told the kids they could buy 1 pumpkin here or pick 3 out at the local grocery store.  It was their choice but we only had so much money to spend so spend it all on 1 pumpkin or use it on 3 pumpkins. The kids thought picking 3 of their own instead of 1 was a better plan so off we went.

I was blessed to get to spend some time with grandson Sweet Nolan this week.  We had a fun day at the park.  He is growing so quickly.  My goodness what a 2 year old knows and says is amazing!  Of course this guy might be the smartest best 2 year old on the planet!  God is so good!

The last scripture verse of the year for Upwards was

John 3:16.  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.  (NIV)

What a great verse to know and share with others.  Do you know that if you had been the only person on earth, Jesus would of still died for you!  That always humbles me when I think about that.  I pray you have turned your life over to Him.

Thanks so much for reading the blog and praying for us.  Have a great week.

Choosing joy,
Chris
