It seems Spring is slowly arriving. We were able to do some chores outside and it was a family affair. Josh and Cate are great at pitching in when there is work to be done.
Josh is on a baseball team and took a ball to the head. He was playing 2nd base and the ball was thrown from the pitcher. Evidently he didn't react quite quick enough. It hit his glove but flipped up and hit his head. A quick trip to the ER and 8 stitches later
Not his best look!
Looking better by Easter morning!
It has healed and stitches are out thanks to our friend, Miss Mellany.
Josh was super brave through the whole thing. This kid is one tough dude!
Cate's 5th grade class put on the play 'Annie". Cate was in the stage crew and did a great job. Two of her favorite friends (Elise & Sabine) were on the stage crew with her. And of course Grandma Carol is the biggest fan ever. Wherever Josh or Cate are at ...Grandma Carol is close behind cheering them on.
Cate asked if we had the CD or DVD of Annie. I said oh we are old school here. They were so stunned at the record player and album. They had never seen anything like it. Thank you Fisher Price and Columbia for being so cool!
As we watched the play "Annie" and listsened to the words of "It's a Hard Knock Life" it was a little overwhelming to think that was the life Josh & Cate come from. We are forever greatful to King's Garden Children's Home for giving theses guys a good start in life but we know that God's plan would not be for children to be without a family. If it was a perfect world as God originally intended no children would be growing up in orphanages. We live in a sinful fallen world and God has given each of us the opportunity to be adopted into His family. In Isaiah 43:1 it says Don't be afraid--God has called you by name and He is with you. Isaiah 14:27 tells us Nothing can stop God'sd plan for your life! We are honored to adopt Josh & Cate but even more so, God wants to adopt you.
Choosing joy,
Chris & crew
