Summer 2014

The first few weeks of summer seem to be appointments, appointments and more appointments.  Both Josh & Cate had perfect attendance for school so I didn't want to take them out of class for the doctor so we had a lot of appointments to catch up on.  First they both had physicals and received vaccinations and Cate had an eye exam with new glasses to follow.  Josh had already gotten braces and they'd both had dentist appointments.  It was quite the blur of doctors for a week or 2!

And then Father's Day happened upon us quickly so we of course had to celebrate that special event.  Josh & Cate have the best daddy ever here on earth!  In the pictures below you will see some of the children of this fun Dad!

And of course since it is summer we always squeeze in trips to the lake or pool whenever we can.  We are blessed to have a grandma that has a lake cottage on Lake James, Angola, IN.  Josh and Cate love the water and both ski/tube.  The more friends we have join us the better we like it!

We always enjoy company at the lake. Mom Tracey along with Dalton and Francis have blessed us with their prescence at the lake several times.  We love it when they join us!

Mom Melissa along with Josh & Leah came to the lake for the day and we loved it!

Alot of the lake time is just to kick back and enjoy family.  Everyone is welcome!  Grandma and Grandpa are very willing to share.  It really is a great place to enjoy God's beauty and blessings.

In the midst of all the ways we see God in our lives it is never more obvious then when new life happens.  This past week we were blessed with a new grandson.  Konrad Walker Clark was born weighing in at 9 lbs 5 oz.  We couldn't be prouder of this new addition to our family. Josh and Cate have a new nephew! Family is very important to us and "Families are Forever" is up on the walls of our home several places. It's amazing how God allows more room to love in your heart.  Our hearts are overflowing!  Congratulations Luke and Susi Clark.  Welcome Konrad!

We also found out we will be blesed with another grandson in November.  We love the way our family just keeps growing.

Konrad is the firstborn of our firstborn! He would be king someday in biblical times. As our family rejoices over our King Konrad I pray you know the one true King.  Jesus Christ wants to know you!

Blessings to you and yours.

School's out and Summer's here!

A lot has been happening here at the Clark house.  Josh has moved up to 7th grade and Cate is now officially a middle schooler.  Both kids had great teachers which made for great years!  Cate is sad to leave elementary and move on to middle school but Josh has assured her it isn't that scary.

We had our usual dentist appointments.  Both kids do great at the dentist and I am thankful for that fact and the kind caring staff at Dr. Ryan Holmes Family Dentistry.  Cate did have a small cavity so she will get a trip back to see Dr. Holmes later this month.  Josh was cavity free.  A trip out to lunch afterwards with Grandma & Grandpa helped make the day even better.

Another new fun/not so fun experience is Josh got braces! He has waited for these for 2 years and I don't know what he was expecting but I don't think it was this. He has been a little grumpy lately and I know these braces are not so much fun the first week or 2 or ever really. He is still a good looking handsome guy.

We were blessed by having a great great weekend.  First we got to have some quality family time at the lake cottage on Saturday.   We stopped by to see Uncle Kirk and pick up the waverunner.

Then on Sunday we had a family baby shower for Mommy-to-be Susi.  Luke (our oldest son) and Susi are expected our 2nd grandson any day now.  Stayed tuned for news that Uncle Josh and Aunt Cate have a new nephew!  Yay! Baby Boy Clark!

This family of 2 will be a family of 3 the next time we see them!  So excited to meet the newest Clark member!  God and Family are the top 2 loves in our life!  We are blessed beyond belief!
