Last day of school...here comes summer!

It was Yippy Hippy day for the 5th graders on the last day.  This was Josh's new look.  He added sunglasses and Dad's 70's vest later and actually won a prize!  Nice job Josh!

Josh really enjoyed 5th grade and wishes he could stay there next year.  We told him in America the goal is to progress forward so that you eventually graduate.  Since his friends are moving on and Cate is moving to 5th grade he decided he would go on to 6th.  :)

Cate's last breakfast as a 4th grader.  She is moving on up!

Cate's last day involved movies and kickball...2 of her favorite things.  Cate has a lot of good friends at Whispering Meadows Elementary and is happy she is returning there for 5th grade.

Cate had her physical and wasn't too excited to receive the 2 vaccinations and 1 finger stick but she was a trooper.  Cate has grown 7 inches in the last 18 mo.  She is really getting tall.  The doctor says she is doing great and we know that is true!

When we get bored we ride bikes!  One day we had nothing planned and the weather wasn't cooperating for the pool or lake so we did a 6 hour bike outing.  Now we did a few stops along the way but seriously we left our house at 10 and got home at 4pm.  It was a great day!  I told them everytime they start fighting we are hitting the bike trails again.  I hope I am strong enough to keep up!

We stopped at parks along the way and Josh is quite the dare devil climber as you can see.

We made it to McDonald's for lunch and we did take a good long rest here.

We made it to Indian Trails Park and the YMCA.  Finally we got back to our vehicle and Cate was happy then.  Josh was great at helping me lift the bikes onto the rack.  We were all tired at this point.

We made our first trek to the lake cottage for this season.  The day was a little breezy but we braved it.  Mostly we hiked in the woods or sat down in the pontoon boat but some were brave enough to try the ice cold water!

Some how it will not let me delete this sideways picture of Cate.  Not only is there 1 but 2 so twist your nect and enjoy!

Saturday ( June 8th) was our 1 year anniversary of going to court to finalize the adoption process.  We celebrated with a 1 flower and 1 balloon for 1 year.

We had a Tin Caps game for Little League on Sunday.  That was really fun but hot!

It's been a jam packed week full of fun things for us.  Not sure how the rest of the summer can compete.  We are trying to squeeze all the fun we can into these 2 kiddos.  Do we have some challenging days?  Yes.  Are we tired alot?  Yes.  Is it worth it?  Yes!  We continue

Endings!

We are having the season of things ending.  School ends this week and we already had field day for it.  I was with Josh's class alot so I have mostly pictures of him.  I will have to get some of Cate on her last day.

Cate loves her girlfriends.  She had these 2 ladies over to play while Josh had a ballgame.

Breakfast time is often a good time for each of us to read a book outloud.  We do read to the kids at bedtime but usually they are too tired to read back to us so breakfast works well for this.

Cate"s soccer season ended.  She was a member of the Lady Galaxy U12 team.

It was a rainy last game.

Her faithful fans...rain or shine or as in the case today we had both rain & shine!

Trophy and team picture time.  Best coaches ever are Coach Steve & Coach Todd!

Our own personal star!  Cate Ramona Clark

Josh had a school project he worked on where he had to create an artificial hand .  Cate joined in too.

Of course this grandma has to throw in a picture of Sweet Nolan and he is super sweet!
 No Joke!  Best boy ever!

That's what's happening here at the Clark house this week.  We are finishing up May and running headfirst into June.  I hope you have a great start to summer and as always continue
